Your contribution to THE LOUISVILLE FUND FOR THE ARTS can go directly to Bunbury Theatre?. When your FUND card comes in the mail, or when you fill out your giving card during the Fund's annual employee drive, you can designate all or a portion of your contribution to go to Bunbury Theatre. Generally all funds received by THE FUND FOR THE ARTS are distributed to their membership organizations. We are not a part of that membership, however we can receive your support through THE FUND. This is a great way to show your support for Bunbury. You can make a difference...... and of course you may also contribute to Bunbury Theatre directly. We appreciate the FUND FOR THE ARTS and all the work they do and are appreciative of their support. Next time you sit in our comfortable seats you can thank THE FUND FOR THE ARTS!

Contributing to Bunbury Theatre

Bunbury Repertory Theatre Company is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization. Bunbury Repertory Theatre Company receives  donations through this status. This also means that you can deduct contributions to Bunbury Theatre Company off of your taxes. Please consider a contribution and consult with your tax advisor.

To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.

Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) are commonly referred to as charitable organizations. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3), other than testing for public safety organizations, are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170.

The organization must not be organized or operated for the benefit of private interests, and no part of a section 501(c)(3) organization's net earnings may inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. If the organization engages in an excess benefit transaction with a person having substantial influence over the organization, an excise tax may be imposed on the person and any organization managers agreeing to the transaction.
