Bunbury Theatre is committed to the youth in our community, especially those at-risk. Through theatrical tools that enhance the communication of ideas, young actors, directors, designers, technicians, musicians, educators and visual artists will congregate toward a single venue, BUNBURY THEATRE'S LEG UP PROGRAM.  

With the help of our urban partners, LEG UP will afford young people an opportunity to explore the society around them and learn to communicate their stories to a broader audience. Professional educators, community leaders, actors, directors, designers and musicians will work directly with a diverse population of students. Students from all areas of the community will be asked to interview, audition and participate in a program that helps young and enthusiastic students work in tandem with professionals to achieve the goal of exploring conflict and understanding resolution.

Organizations, corporations and individuals whose focus is to seek change and provide a better future for the youth of our community will underwrite LEG UP. Funds will be used to provide scholarships for young people, enhance the theatrical esthetic and provide remuneration for the professionals involved. LEG UP seeks partners to help promote the mission and share the vision.
