About the Playwright
Lewis J. Morrow, a native of Kansas City, Kansas, Morrow's plays include The Doves & Darkness, Look What the Fire Did, Elephant, The Little Bit You Can Do and Be Like Water.
Lewis Morrow's plays have been finalists at the MOJOAA Festival, the Detroit New Works Festival, Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) New Play Development series, and most recently a winner of the Wichita Community Theatre Reader Series.
His plays have been produced nationally in North Carolina, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, California, and Florida with forthcoming productions in England and Poland.
Bunbury is proud to add Kentucky to be among the states added to the list.
LOOK WHAT THE FIRE DID

David designed a college course in order to empower young Black minds; however, after the death of one of his students, he can’t help but wonder if he empowered them in the wrong way.
While trying to make sense of it all, David and his family must face another battle before the previous one is settled. How could a college course designed to empower young minds leave a community torn, a family in grief and a reputation in question?
Unsure, David decides to take matters into his own hands….by any means necessary!

About the Director
Sidney Edwards is Head of the African American Theatre Program at the University of Louisville
Sidney Edwards is an educator, actress, singer, dancer, director and improv artist. Sidney earned a BFA in musical theater from William Peace University in her home state of North Carolina. From there, Sidney went on to receive an MFA in performance and a graduate certificate in African American theatre from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. After matriculation, Sidney spent time in Northeast Ohio working as a performer, director's assistant and dramaturg.
