Bunbury Youth Artists Production Lab

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for Bunbury Theatre’s Summer Lab!

Designed for young performers seeking to build confidence, creativity, and stage skills, Summer Lab offers a unique opportunity to experience the full theatrical process, from audition to performance.

We are especially pleased to welcome Sharon Kinnison as our Summer Lab Director and Drama Teacher. Sharon brings extensive experience in theatre education and a passion for helping young people grow as performers and storytellers. We are thrilled to have her leading this year’s program.

Summer Lab participants will:

• Participate in auditions on June 29

• Attend daily workshops and rehearsals from June 30 through July 15

• Perform in the final production July 16-18

• Develop acting, movement, and performance skills

• Build confidence, creativity, and teamwork

• Develop foundational, intermediate, and advanced skills in performance and technical theatre

• Help students learn how to collaborate across disciplines

• Generate, explore, and develop scripted and original material (scenes, songs, choreography, designs)

• Explore choices that culminate in a student-created showcase of an existing work in musical theatre

• Learn from experienced theatre professionals in a supportive environment

Whether students are new to the stage or have previous performance experience, Summer Lab offers a fun and engaging way to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.

Space is limited, and we encourage interested families to register early.

Scholarship support helps ensure that every student has access to this opportunity, regardless of financial circumstances. Every gift helps open the door for a young artist to experience the transformative power of live theatre.
